BEEP! BEEP! IT'S ME.

"Begin at the beginning, and go on till you come to the end: then stop." (Lewis Carroll, 1832-1896)

Alice came to a fork in the road. "Which road do I take?" she asked."Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat."I don't know," Alice answered."Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

"So long as I get somewhere," Alice added as an explanation. "Oh, you're sure to do that," said the Cat, "if you only walk long enough."

"All right," said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone. "Well! I've often seen a cat without a grin," thought Alice; "but a grin without a cat! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in my life!"

I am diagonally parked in a parallel universe. Like Arthur Dent from "Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy", if you do not have a Babel Fish in your ear this blog will be completely unintelligible to you and will read something like this: "boggle, google, snoggle, slurp, slurp, dingleberry to the power of 10". Fortunately, those who have had the Babel Fish inserted in their ear, will understood this blog perfectly. If you are familiar with this technology, you will know that the Babel Fish lives on brainwave radiation. It excretes energy in the form of exactly the correct brainwaves needed by its host to understand what was just said; or in this case, what was read. The Babel Fish, thanks to scientific research, reverses the problem defined by its namesake in the Tower of Babel, where a deity was supposedly inspired to confuse the human race by making them unable to understand each other.

It's the Corporate State, Stupid

Rupert Murdoch admits that it isn't news unless he says it is:~

"For better or for worse, our company (
The News Corporation Ltd.) is a reflection of my thinking, my character, my values." Rupert Murdoch

I saw the documentary,
"The Corporation" on television a couple of years ago and I enjoyed it tremendously. I think it successfully explores the idea that the new totalitarian power structure is most likely to be corporate. Or more probably, a combination of corporate power and government.

Anyway, here is the documentary "The Corporation" courtesy of Youtube. It has been uploaded to Youtube in 10 minute segments with 15 segments in all. Enjoy :)

There is an amazing book by Margaret Atwood about corporate rule in the future called "Oryx and Crake". Fictional of course ;) but not beyond what is possible in science and corporate culture at the present moment!

Good to see you back in action Beep.

I saw this documentary a while back myself. From what I recall, the parts when they likened corporations to psychopaths was the most interesting. Some of the rest was a bit over the top (although I can't recall what, specifically).

The same, good to have you back, and specially with such a tremendously documentary . . . I wonder, why did I have'nt seen it before in my country TV? Shall it be because there is only one tv corporation here? I must thank you a lot for this, no matter if you become a little sad, specially for our kids future, and . . . I must recognize that after my parents, school and books, . . . you're contributing in my education beep. thanks

Well, and know I have work to do because I must change my plans . . . instead of a tipical corporation I need to begin a very different one.

Thanks for your comments. I get a bit slack replying to them. If I was a religious person I would get out the whip and self-flagellate, but I could never understand the sado-masochistic stuff.

Which, by the way, reminds me. Does anyone know the islamic religious festival where (the shia, I think), march down the road or in the square, whipping their backs until they bleed? I think they do it as a sign of devotion or something. Religious people have weird rituals in my opinion.

In which country and channel did you see this documentary on TV? I saw this I guess a year ago roughly and thought it was pretty good. I bought a copy for my younger brother who isn't that politically active. I was hoping that this documentary could sow a seed which would grow in him =)
