Many of you are aware of the pagan origins of Easter, and I am sure there will be other blogs which will be expressing those origins around this time. So, I am going to basically leave that up to them this year. For anyone interested in a previous Easter post, it can be found here. Now, sit back and relax and watch what happens when the Easter Bunny goes feral.
"When the Easter Bunny Goes Feral" or an extract from Monty Python's "Holy Grail."

ReplyDeleteWill it nibble my bum?
I love me some Monty Python. Thanks for the laugh!
Outstanding.
ReplyDelete"I soiled me armor, I was so scared!"
"I've done it again!"
It's the way he says "I've done it again" that gets my belly laugh, every time...:)
ReplyDeletegreg:
ReplyDeleteYeah, I am a Monty Python fan from way back. I wonder how those sorts of shows, which virtually took the mickey out of everything, but religion especially, would be received in this political climate. Not too well, I think.

Glad you liked the clip. I know it always makes me laugh too.
Ted:
Understandable after seeing what that bleedin' rabbit was capable of. ;)
Aye, 'twas a canny rrrabbit...:)
ReplyDelete"Run away! Run away!"
ReplyDeleteClassic. Love the movie. Own it.
Yes sadie, we can agree on that. It is a funny movie. In fact that is the interesting thing about being an atheist, it is basically only the god part that I disagree with the majority of people about.
ReplyDeleteBeep--
ReplyDeleteI'm sure with a little back & forth small chat, we'd find that there is a lot we have in common. A fun thing to do is become Netflix buddies. You learn so much about a person by observing the movies they rent and rate.
You should consider doing a post on, say, The Top 10 Best Movies Ever! ~OR~ The Albums Every Music Lover Must Own
something cool like that
Sadie: I know I have a lot in common with most people. Like evry other average person I care about the same things that everyone else cares about.
ReplyDeleteThe difference is that I don't see religion as a solution to solving human problems. Humans are the solution to solving human problems.

ReplyDeleteHumans have failed and will continue to fail to serve one another and put others before themselves--I don't think religion is the answer to our problems either--Jesus is.
Jesus is a religion. It is an appeal to something supposedly outside of human existence.
ReplyDeleteIt is religion which has failed and failed drastically for thoudands of years. All the religions have had their chances to remake this world in whatever image they have fixated in their skulls. The evidence suggests that they have failed monumentally.
All religions when they seek power inevitably hold it through the use of force. This is why they fail repeatedly and contine to shed the blood of thousands of people. Period.
